Pancake Sunday 2004

The St. Andrew's Presbyterian and Summerlea United congregations celebrated the first Sunday in Lent 2004 in a combined service featuring the joint choir, ministers Howard Clark and Darryl Macdonald, and musical directors Connie Osborne and Lucia Williams collaborating to provide a marvelous Lenten service.

Following the service more than 100 folk from both congregations enjoyed a feast of pancakes and ham in Acadia Hall.

Our thanks to Rolf Smart and all those who participated in setting up the hall, preparing the pancakes, serving, cleaning up, etc., etc., etc.

Following are a few photos of the participants.

Gregory Legault wielding a mean pancake flipper with backup from Robbie Worsnip.

Kevin McKenzie and Frank Romagosa take a break from the cooking stresses.

Raymond Golden checking the products.

Mike Biscott dressed for the occasion.

Richard Hébert hands off a platter of pancakes.

Dave Pryce looks up to server Robbie Worsnip.

Organizer Rolf Smart pours some more pancake mix.

Then we took a few shots of the assembled throng, too numerous to name individually.

And finally a couple of shots of cleanup in the kitchen where photographers fear to tread.
