White Gift Sunday 2006
Posted Dec 13, 2006 (Corrected Dec 19, 2006)
White Gift Sunday 2006 took place December 10. The Youth Group led the service and presented a brief skit.

The service featured a number of carols by le Chœur des enfants de Lachine, directed by Silvio Palmieri and accompanied by Manon Descoteaux. It also included a play by the Sunday School, presentation of white gifts and gifts for children picked by the congregation from the Outreach Gift Tree during the past two weeks, and a donation to the Lachine Food Bank.

Our thanks to the Youth Group and their leaders Kevin McKenzie and Linda Rodd, and to the Sunday School students who practiced for the play and their teachers Susan McKenzie and Roy Rodd.

Following are a few photos of the event (pickable to view a larger version).

The Sunday School presented a play in which each of several creatures bragged about the importance
of its gift to the interviewer (Cassandra McKenzie) of the programme Your Heavenly Host.
First was the cat, John Parmater.

Then came the sheep, Erin Overbury (quite emphatic!).

Finally, while the donkey (Elizabeth Rodd) was speaking,
