This is God's wondrous word:

Candle of Peace

As we light the Candle of Christ,
may its flame remind us that Christ is our light,

our hope, and our peace.
May His presence guide us
and shine through us
in all we do. Amen.


Call to Worship

Come, remember the marvelous deeds of the Lord.
We will proclaim God's power and wonderful works.
God led the people through the wilderness
with faithful care.
God is our guide, our provider, and our strength.
From generation to generation,
God has shown power, mercy, and love.
We will tell of God's wonderful works
and praise God's holy name. Let us worship the God who has done great things.
We praise the Lord with grateful hearts. Amen.

Prayer for Orange Shirt Day

Today we wear orange to remember and honour
all the Indigenous children who went to residential schools.
Today we wear orange, and we pray for the residential school
and intergenerational survivors who are still struggling.
Today we wear orange, and we are thankful
for those who speak the truth,
and who work to shine a light on injustice.
Today we wear orange in the name of compassion
and the spirit of truth and reconciliation.
Help us, God, to remember
and act on this this every day. Amen

Gracious God, you call us not only to hear your word but to follow your will.
Forgive us when our words say "yes" to you, but our actions say "no."

Give us humble hearts that seek your truth and courage to live out our faith each day.

We pray for leaders in our communities and nations.
Grant them wisdom, integrity, and a desire to serve with justice and compassion.

We pray for those who have wandered from your path.
May they know your mercy and discover the joy of turning toward you.
