Good Friday 2008, the earliest Easter week in decades if not centuries, dawned cold and windy,
so only a few intrepid souls made their way to Summerlea church to walk to Resurrection of Our
Lord church about 20 blocks away. The police escort led us along Victoria and Broadway, away from the biting wind off the lake, so the walk was not as rigorous as was feared. On arrival at Resurrection church the walkers met the group who started at St. Stephen's church in eastern Lachine, and a brief service was held, followed by Hot Cross buns and water in the hall. |
